Hmm, hopefully I know which one here is female or male. However please do not
say that females have better physical stats than men as this is the real world,
not a game. Men have a higher muscle mass/total body mass ratio so they are
definitely stronger, and more agile of course. I can't deny that females are
more flexible, but dear girls if you are talking about fighting I don't think
any woman can move faster and hit harder than the legendary Bruce Lee(if you are
anti chinese of haven't heard of him you better watch his videos). Men are more
likely to be fat as women nowadays are very wary of their figure and eat
lesser(women are more likely to be obese before the 20th century). Meaning a man
is most likely to be more fit that a woman of the same weight. But it's still
undeniable that females recieves more success these days. But all these have a
cause. Most men have always regarded women as the weaker sex so they give them
advntages. Men in the government make female protection laws and males bosses
are more likely to favour female subordinates. Since many females think they are
the inferior sex they are very hardworking and tries to be better than the
males.
Intellectually, females tend to understand emotions better, which is why they
are better at handling human relations(in this sense qarrelling with guys and
winning). Anyway females start puberty earlier so they should be more mature.
However if you ask a female and a male to learn a practical skill(muscial
instruments for example) the male is more likely to learn faster and
better.
It's definitely beneficial to the society if females are more efficient, but a
very big problem in developed countries is that females of the younger
generation are unwilling to give birth, leading to aging population.
Generally, males are thought to be the stronger sex. However civilisation has
became advanced so certain countries may beg to differ. For example the country
I am in, Singapore. This is just a personal OPINION, and I am no
sexist.
Guys in Singapore must go through national service of 2 years, so males earn 2
years less income than females. Law in S'pore is that if a male happen to touch
any part of a female she can sue him for sexual harassment. Besides, I've heard
much more cases(from both male and female friends) of teen girls ditching their
boyfriends rather than teen boys ditching their girlfriends. The attitude is
also a big problem, when a batch of Japanese students came to my school for a
high school exchange some time ago, I found that their girls much more polite
and humble towards strangers and friends alike.
I've heard from some friends in Taiwan that they also feel that females are the
stronger sex in their country. How about you? Is this the case in your country?
If it is, in what ways?
I don't know which one is the best but these are some nice voices that i
know.
-Gackt
-Ayumi before year 2003
-Linkin Park's lead singer
-Sum 41's lead singer
-Toshi from X-Japan
-Sonata Arctica lead singer
-Aerosmith lead singer
-Asian Kung-fu generation lead singer
Can tell that i like shouting that sounds nice and powerful voice projection. I
also like catchy voices that reflects strong masculinity or feminity in the
singer.
I don't like restaurants! They are a waste of money and meant to help big bosses
make money. I would rather eat in a small stall by the roadside, hawker centre
or school canteen. What's more, I prefer chinese food or Japanese food over
western food so I don't go to restaurants unless someone is giving me a treat.
To me, eating with a good quantity/price ratio is more important than eating
like a high class citizen.
It depends on genre. For example Naruto, the first Dragonball and Inuyasha, they
do not create many characters for the main character to defeat in 1 episode,
neither do they drag on and on with the same moves all over again.
But for drama anime such as AiR and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, I think the length is
alright. After watching AiR I am dying to go and live in Japan! For those filler
style anime, I don't mind watching something that matches my taste. I do watch
Cardcaptor Sakura as the show is cute, as well as Digimon and Pokemon, and
outside anime I also watch Ultraman. And I love to watch Initial D, where you
don't expect any story but just want to see how Takumi or Keisuke beat their
opponents.
If you dislike a certain person, or anime character, will you hate his/her
supporters as well? For me, yes. I don't like taiwanese hip hopper Jay Chow and
alot of anime characters, including Uchiha Sasuke from Naruto. Those fans keep
on chanting, 'Jay's so cool, he's a great musician. Sasuke is so cool, w/o him
the show will not be meaningful' and other stuff like that. It keeps on
repeating in my environment and echoing in my head, I can't take it
anymore!
If you hate such popular figures and feel that they have no reason to be
popular, and those fans are cheering and supporting them with all their will,
will you hate those fans? If not, what will you feel for them?
People who follow the mainstream, people who don't seem to be able to show their
true emotions, people who seem to be totally retarded and retarded without
feelings and people who likes the things I hate very much. I hate people who
lack courage and faith. Also, I hate Asians who gives caucasians special
treatment, as if they are a notch higher, as if they are higher class
humans.
People who will never seem to be honest with their feelings seem to like the
things that I hate alot, which I don't know why. Even when we have been friends
for quite some time, it is still so hard for us to forge a strong bond and
closeness between friends. It's so damn irritating when you get people talking
to you just because they know you are rich, handsome and they can get some 'use'
out of you. And when you are in trouble they act like they are not involved and
stand aside watching you suffer, after your suffering they will act as nice
people and come over to comfort you, etc. These people, whenever you talk to
them about your own problems, they will just think of a possible way to 'comfort
you', in some cases they will even make a joke out of your suffering. This
attitude certainly deserves a heavy punch in the nose that drives through the
head. So basically I don't like people who know me that can't even be friendly
with me and yet keep on sticking around me. Also, I do not like people who don't
explain why they are doing bad things and people who do not have guts to go
against people with higher authority and are making life tough for his/her
subordinates. Sometimes when you see a boy getting attacked or bullied by
gangsters, will you run over and beat them up? Do you dare to go against the
unfair things in life? Will you scold someone if he preaches to you or promotes
a certain product to you and goes overbroad? I don't think most people
will.
And most importantly Asians who treat Westerners as higher class people. I am
not holding any grudges against Westerners and I don't think Westerners really
feel a need to be treated as higher class humans when they visit or reside in
Asian countries. I am not quite sure about other countries in Asia but this is
getting overbroad in Singapore. I don't see white men really treating asians
especially well so I don't think asians should reduce their status. Are we
really inferior? It's just that Japan, Korea and China are not united, that's
all. Other than that I don't see any reason why Asians should be seen as
inferior to the west, especially by Easterners themselves.
Either Kaede or Asa sempai. I think human girls are better because I am human. I
don't want to be treated as a king's daughter's husband, neither do I like a
small girl who doesn't understand what I am going through. Kaede will definitely
make a good housewife and she should be very loyal. This is a trait which can
hardly be found in modern women. However she is always very quiet and
disciplined and don't get involved much in others affairs. Asa sempai because
she gives a mature image but can also be cute. The bad thing is she is going to
get some sort of sickness, some mana overload. She can be quite a nice
girlfriend too, it will definitely feel nicer to go out with Asa Sempai on a
date rather than Kaede, provided she don't slap me in the back everytime.
I'd love to make my own story for anime too. But I think I'll need more time to
come up with book 1 and 2 of my story first, before I graduate a year later.
Well, it's about a saga that starts place 10 years later on the planet Earth
Eastern Hemisphere. It's about a group of heroes and radicals who makes a new
world order and ravages through the world destroying civilisation and
governments. And they are the good guys, so imagine Suikoden or Legend of Water
Margin taking place in the modern world. So, why the real world? It's because
most anime only show an over fantasised world that's why we don't get to see how
ugly this world is becoming.
There won't be any magic though, since magic and teleporting is the factor that
spoils intense action. I don't want to mix every genre intentionally, but I do
think of pieces and bits of interesting events to put inside. Also, the good
guys will not have super good technology and own the bad guys. Since the good
guys are practically inferior in terms of numbers, technology and support from
the people, they have ridiculous odds to beat and it will boil down to strategy
and the effectiveness of each soldier.
I think it's neccesary to have serious stuff and follow the plot for most of
the story, but I also put in some ecchi or comedy. But most of it will follow
war, kung fu fighting, romance and brotherhood. Man, writing a story is easy,
drawing it is not. I usually draw in the comic before I add in the speech
bubbles. I can only come up with 2 pages a day due to the enormous amount of
assignments the school throws at us.
She's pretty. Not exactly pretty in the sense the face looks nice. I don't like
the Gundam Seed baby face look. But I think her choice of clothes makes her look
good, I prefer a girl to dress that way rather than the way Lacus dresses.
I think Naruto is nicer, be it his normal form or kyubi form. I don't like
Sasuke, I just don't like him. I have never thought of those things as wings. I
have seen too many angels in anime and their fanart. I want something more.
It's because of Ultraman that i started to learn more about the Japanese. I find
that their lifestyle and culture is meaningful. Their industries are vibrant and
professional, and they are very hardworking people. Then when I am older, about
15 years old, I started to watch anime on the net. This is when I find that
their artwork is undeniably nicer than western cartoons.
Watching anime and reading Japanese comics let me know more about the Japanese
culture. It's so interesting over there, life seems much more meaningful and
most importantly they are a pure race. A Chinese guy like me can blend into the
crowd with ease. In Singapore we always say we have racial harmony, in fact the
races hate each other. We don't seem to work well too. Right now, I really want
to migrate to Japan, wish I have more money...
For me, buying music is only possible for popular artistes which I support, such
as Hamasaki Ayumi and BoA. I think most anime and game OSTs are not available in
Singapore. I also like the Suikoden and Guilty Gear OSTs, as well as Yui Horie,
YURIA and KOTOKO songs. But they can't be found in any local stores, so the only
way to possess them is to download them. Also, my government is setting up a law
to control media downloads.
Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear)
Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami (King of Fighters)
All the Onimusha
All the main characters of Suikoden
Kratos (God of War)
Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
Squall (FF8)
As you see, all of them are men. I don't like Cloud as FF7 is too overrated. I
think FF is no longer nice after PS2 was released. I value courage and brawns,
that's why females can never be in my list if you are talking about heroes.
Kill. Let those who deserve to live live on. Population control will only give
the world aging population. The world will become more advanced. Money will make
up 100% of humanity and greed and anger will overwhelm all of us. There should
be a major world war and it will end with around 10 million people left to
procreate. Hopefully the people who will win is the guys who will maintain peace
for good.
Mankind will not stop expanding even with population control. If we can control
population expanding in the developed countries, what are we going to do to
underdeveloped countries? Are we going to nuke China, India and Africa to stop
this problem? Anyway it has to be a major world war that destroys civilisation.
I don't think we should let civilisation continue because 'aliens may attack
us'.
As the saying goes, 'Everything that has a beginning has an end.' When an anime
drags too long, especially when it only shows fillers for the late episodes, it
starts to get sucky. I watched Naruto and Inuyasha, they both me give this
feeling. I don't want to watch anime and make it feel like I am watching Power
Rangers, Sailormoon or Ultraman. That's why an ending is necessary, especially
for the action/mecha genre. But if the plot is good, I will never forget the
series and watch it over again.
I think the most scary dream I had was something to do with sex. It was the same
case for that school nurse in bible black but, I'll not explain further. The
second scariest dream is a horde of swordsmen running at me and stabbing me many
times. I also saw other people having their intestines and eyes gorged out. The
blood all over the place as blades tear flesh apart. Then I woke up.
It has to be Japanese, they have so many terms and systems which makes you so
confused. Their vocabulary is mixed in chinese charcters and katakana, which
makes writing a problem too. I don't think chinese is that hard, as long as you
read often and have good memory, you can master the language well. I don't think
English is that hard to master, we are all typing English here right? It's the
main universal language of the world and not knowing English have great
disadvantages.
I am very busy, but I'll watch anime over soccer. I can watch anime any time I
want, while I have to stay up late at night to catch soccer. Soccer doesn't help
my work and essential skills, although I like to play soccer with my friends as
leisure activity or exercise.
I like to wear uniform, it does make me feel equal to my better off classmates.
But one thing why I hate uniform so much is that we are restricted too much.
This is a special case that applies in my country(Singapore).
-We are not allowed to wear skirts(i m a guy ^_^) shorter than knee length.
Which doesn't make our schoolgirls anywhere as cute as anime schoolgirls.
-Forget about sailor suits and blazers, we were just given a plain shirt and
trousers or skirt.
-We must tuck in our shirts all the time while in school.
-Boys cannot have long hair(no coloured hair), even for college and polytechnic
students.
-Girls must tie their hair(no double ponytails) when it touches the shoulder.
-If I am not wrong, girls are told to wear shorts under their skirts. Meaning
you won't see panties even if you lift a skirt.
You think I like to wear school uniform in this case? Anyway, this is not Japan.
Even in Japan I still find that guys uniforms are not given as much attention as
the girls one. You can have sailor suits but you cannot have boys dressed like
Tidus or Cloud. Back to the point, uniform doesn't give me the feeling that I
have grown up. I feel the same as my classmates which I think I shouldn't. I
should be a guy with long hair, dressed like a J-rocker or some Japanese
swordsman. I guess that cannot be helped. There is a dress standard not only for
schoolkids, but it applies to the whole nation. Anyone who dresses differently
in public will be seen as weird and dangerous(and I mean dangerous). We can't go
either way, they won't let us be ourselves even if we are to wear
uniforms.
Dammit, uniforms sucks in my country. It's not just the top wear and
bottomwear, it includes your hair, your fingernails and you cannot have beards
and mostaches.
1) Must listen artistes: Means my favourite 5
- Hamasaki Ayumi(preferbly songs from her early days)
- Glay(Very catchy)
- X-Japan(classical and metal)
- B'z(love their style and singing)
- Siam Shade(sounds very cool)
- Do As Infinity(Catchy fusion of pop and rock)
- WaT(I came by this duo in the record store and their music is very
nice)
Others that I know(& are good):
- L'Arc-en~Ciel
- Gackt
- Dir En Grey
- Every Little Thing
- Utada Hikaru
- Dream
- V6
I don't think I have to mention those artistes who make anime themes for reccent
series. You can find such threads easily.
I have changed alot for the better! When I was a primary and secondary school
kid, I only cared for myself. I wished that I can breeze past my school days and
grow up. Because I always get into trouble with the teachers and classmates, I
stayed away from the crowd and hope for the days to pass by slowly. I never did
more than 20% of my homework due to laziness and distractions. I was anti-social
because people think I am weird and 'dangerous'. There is this thing about
Singaporeans, that is the practice to see 'weird' or 'odd' people or things as
dangerous. I did not have much pleasure at home either, my teachers always call
my mother when I didn't do homework and my mother will give me a beating. I
don't have a playstation at home, neither do I have a computer. I got my first
computer when I am at secondary 1 and it only got dial-up internet connection
when I was in secondary 3. In secondary school days it became better, I began to
start talking to the boys in class, as well as some girls. I was still labelled
as 'dangerous' but it's now better. I joined a uniformed group in school and
became physically and mentally stronger due to the training. I also joined in
the soccer games the schoolboys organised. I didn't do much homework or projects
still, but still managed to get good grades. As I made new friends I got into
conflicts with my parents, about coming home late and getting distracted. I came
across modern culture via games and music. Since primary 6 I started listening
to J-pop and played a few games, making me more of a teenager when I became one.
Then I came across King Of Fighters and Tekken, I wanted to be a strong martial
artist too. I also came across Genso Suikoden, it taught me to rebel against the
unjust and return the love of those who love you. I watched games and movies
which stories are meant for the mature crowd and began to think about my purpose
of life and whether or not will I make a difference to the world around me. Thus
I am better disciplined and is living with a direction, working for an ambition
now. I am accepted as a friend and a classmate too. I tend to be more
understanding to my family and close friends. Also my parents cannot give me a
beating as I am now stronger than them and is very skilled in martial arts. Now,
I am aiming to go to Japan and become a game concept designer, as well as a
karateka. I am currently 17 now and studying game design in a vocational school.
From a rejected and miserable schoolboy I have become someone who has love and
ambition.
Hmm, hopefully I know which one here is female or male. However please do not say that females have better physical stats than men as this is the real world, not a game. I think the most scary dream I had was something to do with sex. It was the same case for that school nurse in bible black but, I'll not explain further. The second scariest dream is a horde of swordsmen running at me and stabbing me many times. I also saw other people having their intestines and eyes gorged out. The blood all over the place as blades tear flesh apart. Then I woke up.
It has to be Japanese, they have so many terms and systems which makes you so confused. Their vocabulary is mixed in chinese charcters and katakana, which makes writing a problem too. I don't think chinese is that hard, as long as you read often and have good memory, you can master the language well. I don't think English is that hard to master, we are all typing English here right? It's the main universal language of the world and not knowing English have great disadvantages.
I am very busy, but I'll watch anime over soccer. I can watch anime any time I want, while I have to stay up late at night to catch soccer. Soccer doesn't help my work and essential skills, although I like to play soccer with my friends as leisure activity or exercise.
-Forget about sailor suits and blazers, we were just given a plain shirt and trousers or skirt.
-We must tuck in our shirts all the time while in school.
-Boys cannot have long hair(no coloured hair), even for college and polytechnic students.
-Girls must tie their hair(no double ponytails) when it touches the shoulder.
-If I am not wrong, girls are told to wear shorts under their skirts. Meaning you won't see panties even if you lift a skirt.
You think I like to wear school uniform in this case? Anyway, this is not Japan. Even in Japan I still find that guys uniforms are not given as much attention as the girls one. You can have sailor suits but you cannot have boys dressed like Tidus or Cloud. Back to the point, uniform doesn't give me the feeling that I have grown up. I feel the same as my classmates which I think I shouldn't. I should be a guy with long hair, dressed like a J-rocker or some Japanese swordsman. I guess that cannot be helped. There is a dress standard not only for schoolkids, but it applies to the whole nation. Anyone who dresses differently in public will be seen as weird and dangerous(and I mean dangerous). We can't go either way, they won't let us be ourselves even if we are to wear uniforms.
Dammit, uniforms sucks in my country. It's not just the top wear and bottomwear, it includes your hair, your fingernails and you cannot have beards and mostaches.

I have changed alot for the better! When I was a primary and secondary school kid, I only cared for myself. I wished that I can breeze past my school days and grow up. Because I always get into trouble with the teachers and classmates, I stayed away from the crowd and hope for the days to pass by slowly. I never did more than 20% of my homework due to laziness and distractions. I was anti-social because people think I am weird and 'dangerous'. There is this thing about Singaporeans, that is the practice to see 'weird' or 'odd' people or things as dangerous. I did not have much pleasure at home either, my teachers always call my mother when I didn't do homework and my mother will give me a beating. I don't have a playstation at home, neither do I have a computer. I got my first computer when I am at secondary 1 and it only got dial-up internet connection when I was in secondary 3. In secondary school days it became better, I began to start talking to the boys in class, as well as some girls. I was still labelled as 'dangerous' but it's now better. I joined a uniformed group in school and became physically and mentally stronger due to the training. I also joined in the soccer games the schoolboys organised. I didn't do much homework or projects still, but still managed to get good grades. As I made new friends I got into conflicts with my parents, about coming home late and getting distracted. I came across modern culture via games and music. Since primary 6 I started listening to J-pop and played a few games, making me more of a teenager when I became one. Then I came across King Of Fighters and Tekken, I wanted to be a strong martial artist too. I also came across Genso Suikoden, it taught me to rebel against the unjust and return the love of those who love you. I watched games and movies which stories are meant for the mature crowd and began to think about my purpose of life and whether or not will I make a difference to the world around me. Thus I am better disciplined and is living with a direction, working for an ambition now. I am accepted as a friend and a classmate too. I tend to be more understanding to my family and close friends. Also my parents cannot give me a beating as I am now stronger than them and is very skilled in martial arts. Now, I am aiming to go to Japan and become a game concept designer, as well as a karateka. I am currently 17 now and studying game design in a vocational school. From a rejected and miserable schoolboy I have become someone who has love and ambition.
